You were killed by Death

It's a unique experience when you get "Killed by Death" as I recently discovered playing BFBC2. If you're familiar with the game, you'll notice this message will display if you're killed by an object or vehicle in the game rather than another player.

And although Battlefield Bad Company 2 has had its fair share of network issues and bugs, the game is absolutely awesome and I highly recommend it.

Probably the most attractive aspect of the game for me is the diversity of the classes. You can play as a straight-up shooter type with the 'Assault' class or if shooting a whole lot of players all of the time isn't really your thing, you can opt to play as more of a 'support' class such as a 'Medic' or 'Engineer'.

I didn't really play a whole lot of the previous Battlefield games but I'm pretty addicted to BFBC2. It's the kind of game that makes you feel invigorated, even after a long day in the office.

The ranking system is also extremely detailed with achievements clearly outlined for those who love their trophies. The more you rank up, the more upgrades you're given access to (and the more kicka** you'll become). Medics become better healers but also get access to better weapons that come complete with a red dot sight and scope!

And as much as I loved Modern Warfare 2, it's slowly becoming a distant memory. The debate about whether or not one game is better than the other has been fueled by various online forums and communites taking pot shots at each other. I prefer to think that both games are great for different reasons. I like BFBC2 simply because it offers an alternative to just shooting at the enemy all of the time. Like any game that becomes repetitive, a bit of variety is never a bad thing.

So if you're thinking of buying a game to play and you're into your shooters, consider taking BFBC2 for a spin. I guarantee, even if you are "Killed by Death" every now and then, you'll soon be coming back for more.
