Are you a "Keyboard Warrior?"

Being a gamer can be loads of fun. But there are some in-between moments that can really get under your skin. You know the times I'm talking about - gaming moments where your calm, patience and normal sensibilities abandon you, and in a flash you've turned into this horrible, awful, raging gamer that you read about and probably LOL about too.

Well, the other day such a moment overcame my boyfriend who is usually a very calm person and is probably one of the least confrontational people in the whole world. And all of that changed in an instant when some guy in our party started abusing him for winning an item after completing a dungeon in WoW. I mean, seriously this was a moment where even the Incredible Hulk would be looking for an exit.

I just had to laugh, particularly when he called the guy a "Keyboard Warrior". I was actually somewhere in 'lala' land at the time, still silently seething at losing a role on a really nice upgrade for my Warlock! So I came in late on the conversation but realised that two hours later, he was still raging.

Have you ever had moments like this when you just can't help but lose it completely with someone you're gaming with or someone on the opposing team? Or are you one of those gamers that just ignores insults, abuse and comments and enjoys your gaming regardless of how badly behaved other people are online? I'd have to say that I can certainly rage with some the best of them when people get under my skin, but it passes so quickly, I barely remember doing it! I'm also more inclined to rage with the mute button on rather than rage at an entire lobby/channel or party full of strangers. But there are some gamers out there that don't give a damn who they insult. If you know someone like this, what is it like gaming with them and what do you do to avoid QQ'ers and "Keyboard Warriors?"
